As of June 8, 2024, new measures will come into effect as part of the Act respecting family law reform with regard to filiation and amending the Civil Code in relation to personality rights and civil status, adopted in 2022. In particular, the law will modify the rules governing knowledge of origins in the context of adoption, in order to broaden their scope. This checklist provides an overview of the main changes.
