It is completely normal that questions or concerns might arise regarding the Director of Youth Protection’s dealings with a family. The brochure Your child’s situation has been reported to the DYP: What do you need to know now? is intended mainly for parents whose child has been reported, it goes over each step in the DYP intervention process in plain language. It also includes information on the rights of parents and children.
It was designed as a quick reference for parents and a tool that caseworkers can use throughout the intervention process to supplement information given respecting each particular situation.
