Description
The Practical Guide to Mental Health Rights was designed for the family and friends of individuals with mental health problems. Its main purpose is to provide them with legal information and to address their concerns in this regard.
The Guide was updated in 2009 based on the amendments to the Act respecting health services and social services and is in keeping with the policy directions set out in the 2005-2010 Mental Health Action Plan (Plan d’action en santé mentale 2005-2010 – La force des liens) with regard to the promotion, respect, and protection of the rights of mental health service users.
