In the case of a pandemic, it is important to have intervention strategies to prevent the transmission of influenza. For most businesses, worker protection will consist in emphasizing good basic hygiene and social distancing. This Guide is for Québec employers and workers faced with an influenza pandemic. Its purpose is to provide information about the influenza virus and basic personal and collective measures to limit the transmission.
The document was produced by the occupational-health and infectious-diseases teams of the Direction générale de santé publique of the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux and the Diorection de santé publique of the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal, jointly with professionals of the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail and the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de Montréal.
